The Rixy stages held at the Stanford Training Area (STANTA) in Norfolk was a happy hunting ground for most SCMC members. Rob Swann & Steve McNulty won the event for the third year in a row with their Fiesta WRC and they were chased all day by Darrell Taylor in his Fiesta R5 Rally 2. Neil Beaumont claimed a very respectable 6th overall in his Mitsubishi Evo 8. Unfortunately, Mark Fisher and Peter Spalding had further bad luck with master cylinder issues reducing their ability to slow down, so they sensibly decided to retire.
Our chairman continues his adventures with sporting trials his Sabson, finishing an excellent 2nd in class at the The Plum Pudding Shakedown Trial in deepest Hampshire over the Christmas holidays.
The Goodwood Stages in early December saw SCMC members put in strong performances with many making big improvements on their seeding, results below
