2 weeks agoGreat virtual club night last night and our thanks go to Mark Bullen for his insight into his early racing career in off-roading and his off-piste approach to competing in the UK and France, especially his days within the All-Wheel Drive Club.Our second Special Guest was Mark Norris, Race Operations Director of McLaren F1 who joined us direct from the filming day for the new car at Silverstone. Mark provided a great insight into F1 under Covid, some of the strains and issues it placed upon the team and how the Woking-based Team coped with the ups and downs of 2020. Mark touched upon the prospects for 2021 and the forthcoming 'relationship' between to of the Paddocks favourite drivers in Lando Norris and Daniel Riciardo. And then to round things off, former chairman Martyn Jeffery won the quiz have logged on from a snowy and very cold Aberdeenshire.A great night with great people, and even the odd beer as there was no driving home afterwards! ...
