Social

As well as competitive events the Club holds regular social events, usually on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

During the course of the year we host:

  • Down the Pub Nights around the region allowing friends to join together at a pub, local to members at least once or twice a year.
  • Our prestigious Annual Awards Dinner, usually in February where we honour the success of our competitors and organisers for the work over the previous year.
  • Interesting Car Night at Guildford Tyres with a whole host of unusual and often exotic cars.
  • Special ‘Zoom Nights’ featuring guest appearances from some of the leading figures in motor sport which has previously included Ari Vatanen, Fred Gallagher,  Ben Cussons (Vice President of the RAC), Rob Collard, Rob Swann, Will Nicholls and even former MP / Co-Chairman of the APPC Motoring, James Sunderland.

NEXT SOCIAL EVENT…

Next Down the Pub

Keith and Angelica Mainland will be hosting the next Down the Pub on Tuesday 13 October. Tasked with finding a venue in the Dorking/ Leatherhead area they have chosen the Watermill which is just east of Dorking at Reigate Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH14 1NN (https://www.thewatermill-dorking.co.uk/about-us).

The Watermill is open until 11pm and describes itself as serving “an ever evolving mix of local cask ales, craft brews, and refreshing low and non-alcohol options.”  Its restaurant is taking orders until 9pm and offers a range of meals “from comforting classics to standout seasonal plates”.

With the Sprint season winding up and the local rally season about to spark into life why not come along and tell us what you’ve been up to/ what you are planning. We’ll be there from around 8pm.
