More success within the club this weekend with Sutton & Cheamer Rob Collard, partnered by Sandy Mitchell, taking the British GT Championship in their Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3.
Rob started 2020 with no real expectations and assures us that if someone had said he would be racing GT's and more importantly he would win the championship he wouldn't have believed them. Rob was one of our guest of honours at the Annual Awards Dinner in 2018 along with son Jordan Collard who claimed 2nd overall in the GT4 Championship. Well done lads and congratulations from everyone at the club. ...

October Competitors Of The Month – Angelica Fuentes, Rob Swann & Rob Dennis
SCMC competitors gave the committee a difficult job to select a competitor of the month for October, with club members producing fantastic results across the globe. Given the excellent results achieved it was decided that we’d have three winners of COTM for October.
Angelica’s annual trip to the weeklong La Carrera Panamericana produced 3rd o/all with Gabriel Perez in the Studebaker. The crew encountered a couple of mechanical issues along the way which restricted their opportunity to challenge for the win this year.
Following his HammerTime 20 Rally win in August, Rob returned to Barbados to compete on the SOL Rally Of Barbados with the view of continuing his winning streak on the island. Leading on the Saturday night, Rob made a couple of minor mistakes on Sunday that let Ken Block through into the lead with his brand new M-Sport Fiesta but 2ndo/all against this competition was still a fantastic result.
A mention should also be made of fellow SCMC members Chris Surman & Zowie Boiston who also made the trip to Barbados with their Subaru, unfortunately a fuel leak restricted their pace but they still finished 29th o/all, 1st in class.
Back in the UK, Rob Dennis was the outright winner of the Cotswold Stages, held at Down Ampney Airfield in Gloucestershire at the end of October. Conditions were very challenging during the day, with very heavy rain in the morning making driving conditions more difficult but Rob managed them better than the rest of the entry setting a number of fastest stage times during the day. ...

The Surman Scenario: Well that’s another Sol Rally Barbados finished and a Group N win in the old girl!
Unfortunately, a few issues and a massive fuel leak on the last few stages saw the injector seals on the left bank give up, dumping fuel everywhere...
Luckily we got the car back to service and finished the rally - so she’s all packed ready for her sail home...
Massive thank you to all of the people involved with the prep and help here... ...
