A number of club members had good results this month, but Oliver Hucklebridge was selected by the committee for COTM in May for 10th o/all, 3rd in class on the Compbrake Stages at Three Sisters. Oliver has only just moved across to the driver’s seat from the other side of the car and was trusted with his Dad’s Escort for this event, so I’m sure there was relief when it was returned in one piece.
Jamie McBain was also competing at the same event and continued his run of good results with 6th o/all.
Other club member results to call out for May include David Martin & Jordine Crooks claiming an excellent 17th o/all, 7th in class in their 205 at the Fulbeck airfield-based Lincoln Green Stages, a great result.
Our very own chairman continues his venture into Sporting Trails and now has his own car, a Sabson no less. Partnered by his co-driver from his rallying days, Matt Sunderland, the finished 8th o/all 1st in class at the Bluebell Trial in East Sussex.
