Down the Pub this month (Tues 23rd Oct) is with Dave Whyman at the Stephan Langton Inn at Friday Street near Dorking.

Considered the most secluded Pub in Surrey, it has also won many awards for its food and local beer. To quote from their website:

The Tillingbourne Brewery opened its doors to discerning lovers of quality craft ale in December 2011. Based in the picturesque village of Shere in the Surrey Hills, with a deserved reputation for brewing the finest beer infused with hops of distinction, you’ll find their top quality craft ale on the pumps at the Langton.

Brewery co-owner and Langton resident Lee is proud to have such a traditional Surrey pub as the flagship for showcasing Tillingbourne Brewery’s real ales. ‘Hop Troll’, ‘AONB’, ‘Falls Gold’, ‘The Source’, ‘Summit’ (supporting the National Trust celebrating 250 years of Leith Hill) and ‘Black Troll’ are all award-winners in their own right and you’ll always find the latest new brew on tap at the Langton – something for every taste.

Currently on the pumps is ‘Dormouse’. A 3.8% traditional English bitter with a nutty & biscuity taste that has been brewed to support Surrey Wildlife Trust’s ‘Save the Dormouse’ project. With the largest population of dormice living behind the brewery it made perfect sense.

The postcode is RH5 6JR and their website is See you on the 23rd.
