Dale has chosen the Angel Inn in Thames Ditton for his ‘down-the-pub-with’ on the 28th February. It’s at Angel Rd, Thames Ditton KT7 0AU. There’s easy parking round the back, a good range of real ales, lagers and fruit-based drinks for the girls. If you’re hungry, get there a bit earlier, there’s a good range of home cooked pub grub on the menu.  If the function room is free, he’ll bring along the simulator for a Castle-Combe Sprint Challenge instead of the usual skittles.

Dale apologises for not being able to arrange the annual SCMC pub skittles championship this year. The Ditton pub is being remodelled and is soon to open as the ‘George Evelyn’, Surrey’s first gluten free pub and restaurant, but without the skittle alley which was recently seen departing the area in a skip!

Dave Woods, (tudor_rose_outsideWoodsie) tells us “I can now confirm that Down the Pub 25th Oct ( with Woodsie) will be at The Tudor Rose, Coulsdon Road, Old Coulsdon, CR5 1EB.” He’s checked with the manager, and they are more than happy with us arriving from 8-30pm onwards. We’re pretty sure they won’t mind some of us arriving beforehand and taking advantage of the food menu too. It’s even an event logged on their system. This Pub is at the end of his road, serves normal beers, lagers, wines etc. There’s a large car park and it’s fairly easy to find, can supply O/S map ref if necessary, but most people seem to use sat-navs. Sounds all good to us.
